Brendan Forward is a Melbourne based musician, who has been playing guitar over 19 years as well as playing in bands, duos and as a solo artist. Brendan is a dedicated teacher who has spent many years teaching students of all ages, styles and levels. He has a passion for all things music, with a love of early blues and rock and roll, some of his favourite artists are The Rolling Stones, Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters.
Moving to Melbourne in 2013 he started out as a solo artist, making a living busking in the streets of Melbourne as well as landing a blues residency at Whole Lotta Love Bar supporting blues legends such as Geoff Achison, Jimi Hocking, Jerome Smith, Shannon Bourne, Wayne Jury and Gwyn Ashton.
In April 2015 he joined forces with rock band Massive as their new lead guitarist. Since joining, the band released its second album “Destination Somewhere”, supported The Screaming Jets on their ‘Rock and Roll Rampage’ and ‘Chrome’ tours around Australia, and by the end of 2016 had toured the UK and Europe, including playing Hard Rock Hell Festival.
After leaving Massive in early 2017, Brendan Forward begun work on his Debut Solo E.P. In that time he has became a finalist in the 2017 MBAS blues challenge and recently returned from the Middle East playing for the troops with partner Estelle Artois.
